Odisha boy Aruna Santa returned home today after bagging two gold and one bronze medals in boys 56 kg class category of the 14th Asian Youth Weightlifting Championships at Yangon, Myanmar earlier on Nov 8. He won the bronze in snatch with a lift of 95kg and a gold each in clean and jerk and total lift with efforts of 126 kg and 221 kg respectively.
A trainee of Government Spors Hostel in Berhampur, Santa was accorded a warm reception at Biju Patnaik Airports here. This the second outstanding achievement for the year for Nabarangpur lifter Santa, who secured gold medal in 56kg category of the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship at Apia Samoa earlier on June 6.
